Customer Reviews

I'm a veterinary student, but my interest is more with large animal medicine then small animal medicine. I purchased this book to have as a quick resource for studying for the upcoming boards and also to help me out while on small animal rotations. So far I have had no problem navigating the book or website, and have even used the brochures to help explain things to friends who ask me questions. I put some thought into buying either this book or the clinical advisor book, and mainly went with this one since it had newer material in it and brochures available. To this point I actually really like this book, and would recommend it if you only need the basics and a quick refresher on topics. If you want more information, well thats what the Internal Veterinary Medicine books are for.

I purchased this as a quick reference and differential check. It seems to be missing some important basics. For example, I looked up urinary tract infection today - bread and butter - and there's no basic entry but it has pages and pages about obstruction and such. There are no lab values either. I think the other small animal consult is more helpful.
